German silver and ruby Art Nouveau guard chain or necklace depicting maidens' heads

This wonderful German Art Nouveau chain undoubtedly hails from Pforzheim.  Unmarked but tested as silver, it consists of two double-sided panels depicting classic Art Nouveau whiplash maidens' heads set with what appear to be rubies. The panels are 1.8 x 0.6 cm wide at their widest approx. The chain has a drop of 29.5 cm approx and has a bail or bale for a pendant drop or a watch.
