Rare Japanese bronze and copper snuff or trinket box circa 1900

This delightful box dates from the Meiji era (1868-1912).  It has a few dings but is overall in very good condition for its age with a tight hinge and a well-fitting lid, as one would expect from the Japanese craftsmen of that period.  It is composed of copper and bronze and measures 7 x 6.1 x 3 cm high approx.  The lid depicts a landscape overlooking the ocean (possibly a fishing village) with a bridge and distant boats in a rectangular panel, and a singing bird amidst foliage on a circular panel.
